Here’s how to figure out how much money you’ve made on eTrade.
Find the “eTrade Invest” account balance.
Log into your eTrade Invest account and find the “eTrade Invest” account balance.
You can find this in the “Account Summary” section.
With stock in the U.S., once you’ve sold it at a price, you can’t take back the shares. You could only buy back stock if the price of the shares goes down, or you put your own money into buying the shares back. So, if you sell a lot of shares, the money goes right back out and there’s no money to send to you.
Your share will not get to you unless you send it to the account to which you have given it. If you don’t remember what the account number is, check with your broker. You should be able to find that on your confirmation or in the instructions for the online trading you signed up for.
